Is incapacity to find what's in your face (and labeled as such) something on the Y chromosome? Or it's just so that in a couple one has to find things and the other one can't??

I vote for the second. My dh is veeery tidy, to a fault almost, and I keep having to ask him where he's "tidied away" (i.e. hidden) my stuff. I like leaving stuff out where I can find it

OTOH, our son is AMAZINGLY bad at finding things. Granted, we expect a lot from him because he's otherwise very capable for a ten-year-old - but he can look in a drawer full of clothes for, say, a pair of socks like this: push aside a couple of t-shirts, glance vaguely over the rest, and then conclude that there are no socks in that drawer. Quite funny, actually
