I think most women are more practical. There's no room in that little 2 seater for dogs, bikes, groceries, friends, etc.
I will never forget coming out of Staples one time to see the stereotypical middle-aged white guy with his brand new Porsche Boxster. He'd bought a desk, one of the ones that you assemble yourself, probably for his roughly 9 year old son who was with him. He's looking at the car... looking at the boy... looking at the box. We didn't stay long enough to find out whether the guy (1) tied the boy to the bumper, (2) called U-Haul to rent a truck big enough for his car, the desk, himself and the boy, or (3) called the kid's mom to come bail them out...

Well, I drive a Mini Cooper, but I can fit a lot into that little car. Including dogs and groceries. DH drives the SUV. He likes luxury. Me, I like handling.

I drive a Dodge Caliber, it can carry a lot of things and supports weekend car camping trips. I love my little car even though my husband says she goes from 0 to 60 in 60 minutes.

DH drives a big ol' Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab Hemi. No insecurity, he is just a born and bred Texas boy and wouldn't be caught dead in a compact truck (oooohhhh and don't get them started on foreign trucks). He doesn't have it lifted of anything but it is still tall and big, all stock though.

Appearances can be deceiving though, I know plenty of laid back guys who drive sports cars (expensive ones).

Love my MINI - I will always own a MINI. Thinking of getting a MINIature trailer for it so I can haul stuff.
    MINIs are da bomb!
I also get pretty good gas mileage out of it. The new ones get better miliage.
