This year: somewhere in the 02:10 to 02:11 range (official results not yet posted, weird). Now, it was more flat (they basically took out the big hill for the HM and left it for the full), but I also rode the hilly/rolling IM course yesterday so I consider it win-win. I was hoping for 2:05 or under, but it's not like I trained just for that, or "saved" my legs very well.

My husband met up with a local woman whose daughter was running her first half (they own a sandwich shop about a mile from our house). They cheered me in, then we cheered her in (she was about 15 minutes behind me). Seeing her finish was flashback city! This same HM in 2006 was my first. She wants to do an Olympic distance tri but is a little afraid of the mass swim. (Unfortunately, the best way to get over that is to Just Do It(tm)!).

So... I think I've got it in me. I felt good, despite being under-fueled (left in a hurry, forgot gels, hate gatorade but had some anyway), and finished super strong. I don't know that I'll be able to do the back 13.1 like that, I'll probably negotiate the first 13.1 differently and average out.

Back to running Tuesday... helping someone from work move tomorrow (supposed to be my day off, but we got volunteered and he only lives about a mile away).
