I've been running the same boring ~7 miles (haven't measured) lately in my mid-week runs. Wednesdays I do 45min bike/15min run bricks, and this week's with Lucy was different. Heart rate didn't shoot up quite so fast, legs didn't feel quite so stumpy, it felt like I was warmed up rather than running tired. Hip felt pretty good this week, still off, but better.
Tomorrow is another running day... we'll see how the hip goes, it just feels stiff right now. This weekend, another few hours, or I might just run a local half marathon and evening miles (it's pretty much on the IM course anyway). I had to cut last week's run short because I overheated my poor doggie, and by the time we got back after lounging in the shade and drinking out of my camelbak, it was unseasonably warm for me, too. This weekend's weather looks much better for running, partly cloudy and 60s-70s (last weekend was upper 80s and sun, I have a nasty shoulder sunburn from my long ride even though I wore SPF45... SPF70 here I come).
