I second what cindyloo said. Granted I don't know Silver personally but from my time spent here with TE I have never seen any offensive posts by Silver. I welcome any member, female or male that offers such great insight and ideas as the Silvers do. There are some people that need to have their " women only" sites and I can respect that but please try not to hurt or disrespect others that have done no harm.

Let's just give it a rest.
    Or a "respectful" burial.

Reposting what I said when MSG Hall joined the board....

"This forum is dedicated to women's cycling. However, that doesn't mean that only women cyclists are welcome here. We have a very small minority of men on these forums who enjoy participating in the lively discussions we have here. As long as posts are on-topic and not inappropriate, then they are welcome.

Regrettably, a small number of women here feel that men should not be permitted. That men somehow spoil the "girls locker room" feel that tends to develop, especially since many of the conversations are quite frank. This in and of itself tends to weed out most of the men who wander in here Nonetheless, we will not ask men to leave as long as they play nice."

While everyone is entitled to her own opinion, I will not allow this debate to rage on over and over again. Let it rest. If you don't want to read what the men have to say, put them on ignore. If you don't want to read a THREAD about one of the men, then don't. But I do not want to see this issue tear the board apart. The few men we have on this board have been quite pleasant to have around, and have added to the conversations in a meaningful way. If we get someone on the boards, MALE OR FEMALE, who does not respect the forum's intent and tone, that person will be asked to moderate behavior, or will be asked to leave.

    Thank you.

chocolate to the rescue! I tried Ghiradelli 50% semi sweet chips for a treat. Not sure I like them as much as the Special Dark chips, though. I'll have to do a double-blind taste test, I guess.
