    Filson is a very old company that makes classic outdoor clothing and camping gear. They don't make bike bags, but my DH made panniers and a front bike bag out of Filson's "field bags".

    I was once enveloped in a bear hug by the Delta baggage claims manager in Salt Lake City. My Filson bag had gone astray and he was waiting on pins and needles to find out whose it was and was overcome when he discovered a woman owned it.

    Fortunately, my husband is very tolerant of such things.

    And if you want to go classy leather (though heavy), you could modify a JW Hulme bag.
