Well glad you found your water bottle. I do $hit like that all the time but then I'm over 40. Well over 40. I once bought two really expensive bottles of wine as gifts for couple of teachers and then left them in my car all day because I didn't want to take them into the school. it was ovr 100 degres. The wine was wrecked. Had to buy new bottles and of course, drink the crappy wine.

Were did you post for the 20002 moms? I was at Parent Place originally...

Chyk, my bad, you're the hottie! **slaps own wrist** I stand corrected.

Kelown - we met at baby center, then moved to msn. And I'll be 40 next year - does that count? Oh, the ribbing I'm gonna take tomorrow for this...

    TD = Thread Drift....

kelownagirl "How you do ladies explain internet "friends" to people IRL?"

    Mostly I don't.

I'm a member of a few bulletin boards, my bike clubs board, an Aikido site, one board for women who bat for the other team . These I just share information: ride schedules, workshops, events, who's promoting up a Dan rank...then there's TE.

Even my Mom (who at 85 uses the internet to rabble rouse and change the world one e-mail at a time like Lise and her babies ) knows that this is somehow different "oh, someone from that board".

I've never hesitated to just go on a ride organised here, when Spazzdog first came to the Bay area for a visit I simply said if she could stand the clutter .... come on down.

We'd never met, I don't think we'd even talked. Just went and picked her up at the airport.

This board is different, smarter, funnier, warmer people I have never met.

Even the TE guys our TE gals have....a cut above the rest I'm not saying theres no one here who'd steal my kidneys but I'd really be surprised at that....a more fabulous bunch you won't find. Long live TE TD.

Well said Trek. I can't wait until I meet someone from TD. I've been fortunate enough to meet 3 TE'ers already and all are wonderful women.

Ok, I'm off to bed so I'll leave you with this movie quote:

**in a John Wayne sounding voice** "Al-right little la-dy. I'll off to bed. Alone. Again. Wa-haa".

    Name that movie....

Well, I'm still alive basically. It was a nasty time last night and thanks for the well wishes everyone. I was bought a b-day dinner at work last night (chinese) and got food poisoning. (the kind of gift that just keeps on giving) It's not the way one would choose to redecorate the bathroom but at least now I have an excuse to blow some loot at Linen's & Things.
Oh, what a looong day this was though. I hurt all over. I need a good massage right now. Up side is my abs are a bit tighter from all the calisthenics they had last night.

Hey, just back away from the chicken stew and nobody gets hurt. I called b-fast dibs on Knot's stew days ago. Just waiting for the package to arrive in my mailbox any day now. Hey, CWR, any idea when it's supposed to get here? I'm starving. (made plenty of room for it last night)

Pancreas intact, turned out to be my *bleeeep* instead... oh, wait, can't say that on TE. I'll get kicked off. Um, it was nothing, nothing at all dear.

Join the club. I'm a lifetime member of Dorks-R-Us.

Hey Nanci - a little something special for you. Look what I found a pic of today... This was about 9 months after and they just took out the proximal screws cuz they were buggin' me.
(Edit: They also cut out part of the distal fibula and used it for yet another bonegraft on the tibia. Didn't take either so now I've got a lovely scar on my left iliac crest too. But it grew like a weed so it's all good!)

Now that CWR is a kick in the shin.

Now, now, Dar, remain calm. The mass email was when I started dating J. Before that it was just posts about upcoming dates and how they went. As cryptic as possible, although not cryptic enough for some, and too cryptic for others. When I was tickled to death to have met J, I PM'd about 8 TD'ers with more details than I would post on TD.

I second that emotion! I feel so lucky to have found TE, and grateful to Nanci for starting off TD.

Whoa! X! That sucks! Glad you're feeling better. Nothing like working the abs through puking. Feel better.

margo! There are new Dr Whos on the SciFi channel One of my favorite shows, I discovered it when PBS started showing the Tom Baker episodes.

nanci - time for mousages? Is it possible addy is sneaking out at night with her friends and binging on wild mouse?

X - food poisoning - yuck. I had it once after an enchilada from Una Mas. Mine wasn't the puking kind though

I was given a new title at work today - Duchess. I'm also called Goddess occasionally.

No, can't even trade 'em for Flossie. Next question.

Snap, I like that, "mousages", Jimmy Dean mousages and eggs.

Knot, could you make a stew of that?

X-food poisoning, yuck. I had that in music camp on Vancouver Island decades, centuries, milenia ago. It was from the pasta sauce. Mine was the puking kind.....mostly.

I'm on the safety commitee at work, one of our members, the guy who did the ergonomic evaluations for our building died in a car accident. he was only 47.

We found out via an e-mail.

I just think that was heartless....they could not even take us, the safety committee who worked with him to the side to tell us.

"Back in the day" the company would have some respect for a coworker.

I'm on the phone (call center job) talking to a customer and up pops an e-mail...well, if something happened to me....folks get an e-mail and get back to work...welcome to "the New...."

X- Woo hoo! I love the shots. I'm a freak about that kind of stuff. I don't know much technically but... just enough to get myself in trouble.
Gonna be as technical and dorky as I can get within my knowledge right now... forgive all my wrongs, for I am undereducated.
It looks like a lateral, but I don't see your fibula in the pics. oh, oh, the one on the right is lateral, the other is or looks like a medial? It's hard having an interest in something and no way to doublecheck my correctness. ...and here I am phutzing with the brightness/contrast of the films... too cool.
It looks like your fibula got away with a little less damage than the tibia. =P Fascinating. I <3 your films- thanks for sharing!
    Yeah. I'm sick.

    Knot- YAY! You're back!!!

Trek- I'd be careful around our medical personnel and all this talk of kidneys. Those things are worth $$.

Food poisoning: It likes me. =P Mine's prettymuch never the puking kind, though. My latest and greatest was from fast food (I'm pretty sure) ugh.

    .................
Dinner with J, brother, and brother's co-worker went great. I did have a moment of thinking, "I'm sitting here with three straight men, one of whom I'm dating, and I feel completely at ease." How the world turns. Now I've met both his brother and sister, and they are both nice, funny, and relaxed. The brother is quite a cyclist! He owns seven bikes! Latest is a "Moots" (?) handbuilt in Colorado, of titanium. Also owns a Cervelo time trial bike. I drool (fortunately not literally) when I hear the word "Cervelo". He said, "Now if only I were any good at time trial." I replied, "I know. If only I were worthy of my bike, right?" The man endeared himself to me by asking two things: What got you into catching babies? and What distance triathlons do you do? Happy girl.

PS: J's dog is named Mr. Spock.

Oh, I agree. I'm still getting through it but it's more facinating than most novels I've read lately. Welcome, OTG.
