Knickers - Anyone tried the Gore or LG?

Has anyone tried the Gore Terra Capri sold on TE?
How about the LG Ergo Sensor Knickers?

I'd love to hear your opinions.

No knickers for me. When the temperature dips below 65, I add knee warmers to my bike shorts.

I've had a hard enough time finding shorts that I like given the manufacturer's habit of changing the chamois, I just didn't want to go through that with knickers too. And the knee warmers do a great job for me. Of course I realize that knickers may be the right solution for your riding, just wanted to mention this as another option.

I'm also interested in a pair of capris or knickers. As for me, I don't need anything ultra high performance. I want something I can wear to public places and feel comfortable just sitting in for awhile. Anyway, I'm curious to know if anyone's tried the Gore capri pants or has any suggestions.

I'm not familiar with the knickers mentioned, I have a pair of Shebeest Pedal Pushers, and a pair of Witches Britches from Ground Effect - I like them equally. The WB's are great because they have a fleece lining in the knees.

I got a pr of Boure knickers last spring and like them a lot. Mail order, great service, competitive price, sizing may be a little on the large side.

Hey Debs,

I ordered the Gore Terra Lady 3/4 Knickers and loved them. The liner short can be attached to the knicker at 3 points, which keeps it in place but still lets you move. The elastic at the hem of the liner short isn't too tight, so the seam doesn't show through the knickers if your thighs are not quite slender. The knees are articulated, which is a nice detail and makes them comfortable for biking. I found them to be a tad longer than what I like (mid-leg) but I'm only 5'4.5" and I tried on XL's, so if you're thinner and/or taller, they should come up higher on your leg. And the chamois looks pretty comfy as well -- thin but sturdy, similar to the chamois on the new Shebeest Shindigger capris.

Unfortunately, the sizing was such that even the XL was too snug around my thighs, hips and butt. I usually wear size Large bike shorts (Shebeest, Cannondale and Pearl Izumi). So if you're between sizes, you may want to order a size up.

I've started dieting and have lost nearly 9 lbs. in the past month, so I considered keeping the Gore knickers until I lost a bit more. But the only color available in XL was NASA gray, which wasn't my top choice anyway, so I sent them back. But if they get the black ones in XL again (and if I lose 10 more pounds), I may order them again.

I also ordered the Garneau knickers (they should be coming in Thursday or Friday). I'd be happy to post on those once I get them.

So far though, my favorite knickers are the Shebeest Pedal Pushers (for road riding) and the Shebeest Shindiggers (for mtbiking and spinning, since the chamois is much thinner). And I'm *always* searching for good knickers.
