True cyclist: turned on by saddles

I can't explain it but I do like to check out what's new in bike saddles, even though I can't ride on a saddle too narrow since I'm more upright.

But check out this dark blue Terry saddle with constellation: http://www.terrybicycles.com/Saddles/Womens-Endurance Just so awesome-looking. I know, I'm not being practical since one has to try to the saddle.

My partner has a predominately red Italia Selle men's saddle which I've always told him it looks sexy.

Oooh, that is gorgeous! And I happen to know that Terry Butterfly saddles work very well for me indeed. Currently I am using Selle Italia Ldy Gel Flow, but the are the exact same width and profile and the Terry Butterfly, which I always used before. I hope I remember about this one when I am next in the market for a new saddle!

i did a few hundred miles on my butterfly and bought another one just incase they discontinued or redesigned it.....still using that first one on my seven.

It's such a classic I don't think it will ever be discontinued, though they do keep adding new patterns and matterials. I was riding a Terry Butterfly back in 2003 on my Terry Isis bike and have had several since. They are the real flagship of the Terry line! My DH loves the Terry Fly and has been riding those for years as well.

I saw that blue saddle and thought it would look sharp on my bike. But I sometimes do better with men's saddles. I just got a Fly yesterday and put it on my bike this morning. It's on the trainer, so it's easy to test it out and adjust.

I thought the Terry Falcon was my saddle for years until my LBS convinced me to try the Specialized Oura when I got my Silque.
I had had a lot of soft tissue issues with the Falcon, but less than the first 2 saddles I had when i started riding. I had absolutely no soft tissue pain from day one with the Oura, but it did take me a couple of months to get used to rear end. Now, I love it.
I can truthfully say nothing about the way a saddle looks thrills me. I only care about the way it feels.

Thanks! Now you've done it. I need another bike that matches that saddle.
