I thought the Terry Falcon was my saddle for years until my LBS convinced me to try the Specialized Oura when I got my Silque.
I had had a lot of soft tissue issues with the Falcon, but less than the first 2 saddles I had when i started riding. I had absolutely no soft tissue pain from day one with the Oura, but it did take me a couple of months to get used to rear end. Now, I love it.
I can truthfully say nothing about the way a saddle looks thrills me. I only care about the way it feels.

Interesting, Crankin. I was thinking about the Falcon, as well, if the Fly doesn't work out.

The Oura looks like an interesting saddle, Crankin! I am kind of behind the times on this sort of thing as I haven't bought a new bicycle (only used) for quite a few years. So I guess I am kind of old school. I would certainly be open to trying a different type of saddle, especially if I were buying a new bike. I lust after a Silque!

I've never been as happy as I am with any other bike. But, I should have switched saddles years ago, long before I bought my Silque! The LBS owner told me exactly how I would feel with the Oura, including the fact that it would take up to 3 months for my bum to get used to it. His wife, also confirmed this and said she didn't believe him, either. I bought another Oura for my Guru, after I realized that nothing was hurting...

Because of this thread I looked at the saddles when I was in the LBS the other day. And discovered that Bontrager no longer makes the saddle I've been using for years. So it will be back to endless painful testing of new saddles when my current one wears out.

Btw Bontrager has done a 180 -- from no saddles with cutouts to all saddles with cutouts.

    - Gray 2010 carbon WSD road bike, Rivet Independence saddle
    - Red hardtail 26" aluminum mountain bike, Bontrager Evoke WSD saddle
    - Royal blue 2018 aluminum gravel bike, Rivet Pearl saddle

    Gone but not forgotten:
    - Silver 2003 aluminum road bike
    - Two awesome worn out Juliana saddles

Love my Oura too. The first month made my lower back sore, but after that everything was great. The only issue I've had was a bit of chafing after 100 miles -- until I realized I could go down one size! doh.
