My Holiday Gift to you all - PHOTO UPDATED

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I've been wanting to do this for a while and I finally remembered to do it while I'm sitting at HOME where I have the poem/affirmation that I'd written. This is something I wrote to go with a design and pin doll (a doll you can actually WEAR) but I think it's a great thing to remind ourselves often. One thing that reminded me this was some of our recent discussions.. I'll post a pic of the
Wild Woman when I have a bit more time.
My Holiday gift to you all....

    WHO IS THE WILD WOMAN?

The Wild Woman doesn’t worry about having a “Bad Hair Day”
She doesn’t ask, “Do these pants make my butt look fat?”
She’s never too thin or too fat.
She doesn’t care what other’s opinions of her may be.
She knows that the real beauty in us is inside.
She lives life to the fullest whatever comes her way.
Most of all she allows herself time to play.
Every woman has a bit of the Wild Woman in her.
We should embrace her and give her the freedom to enjoy life!

The pins measure 3.5 X 5 inch and are various WILD fabrics in many colors. I wrote the affirmation poem years ago before I started losing weight or getting fit. I still feel that we need to live to the fullest.

Don't think of it as getting hot flashes. Think of it as your inner child playing with matches

Thanks Mary - thats wonderful. I think the older I get the more the wilder woman comes out to play.
The most effective way to do it, is to do it.

yes Mary and Trek... the Wyld Woman in all of us...

I think it was this forum where I found discussion around the book - Women Who Run With the Wolves... which I orrowed from the library and then typed and printed the 10 rules from the back...

The one I like best is "Howl often"...

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".

LOL... gotta love lycra... sorta that whole "here it is, take it or leave it" view!
There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".

Can we at least check in the mirror as long as we don't ask our partners' such a no-win question?

Yup, that's why the vacuum is gathering dust and the dishwasher is only for storage.

    Namaste,
    ~T~

Actually, yes I sell them for $10 each. I wouldn't know about shipping as I've not sold any on the net yet. I had them at my doll club's doll show and sale a few weeks ago.
(hope I'm not crossing a line here) Anyone interested can contact me privately. I'll get a photo and post one later. They actually come with the poem printed on a card that can be carried in your billfold.

Thanks for that Mary. One of the nice things about getting older is you don't care nearly so much about the judgements of others. As a teen I remember being excrutiated by what other people thought. Made me a bag of insecurity. Now when "they" do it, I see it more as a reflection of THEM rather than of me.

Mary, that is great! I love it and I want one or two or three....... I'll PM you about it. I'll pay shipping and handling.

It never ceases to amaze me how so many people try to put down others, whether overtly or covertly. Many of us have endured that kind of garbage for years and it is so unnecessary because we all have our purpose in this world and others shouldn't be worried about what that is for us. Just worry about yourself and encourage others.

One reason I love cyclists is because they are so positive and encouraging! You are one of those people!

You can let me know when you're ready. Either PM me or use this email mary9761@yahoo.com I can take some digital photos of some them and let you choose which one(s) you would like as well.
I hope you're having a wonderful time in Oregon and have a safe trip home when the time comes.
