I've been drinking Mountain Berry Accelerade for years. I really like it. I prefer that and also Nuun.

I experimented with a sample package of orange Accelerade this afternoon - and my body seemed to tolerate it even with a heat index of well over 90 degrees this afternoon.
The orange is pretty strongly flavored - but I was able to get it down (unlike even weak Cytomax once I get too hot). Has anyone tried the Mountain Berry Accelerade? I tend to like berry flavors over citrus - my LBS doesn't have sample packages of the berry though. If you have tried it what did you think of it? Could you tolerate the taste?
I really like that it has both whey protein and no high fructose sugar - and I was able to drink it - which is easier said than done once I get so hot.

I have not tried the mountain berry flavor, but I have tried the blue whatever it is (raspberry?), lemonade, and orange. Of them, lemonade is the lightest flavor, the orange is the strongest, but like you I generally prefer the berry over the citrus. They all taste basically like Accelerade.I call it Flintstones Vitamins, as that's what it reminds me of (especially the orange).
Mixing the Orange and Lemonade (or the Blue stuff and Lemonade) does lighten the flavor a bit. I do drink it usually super concentrated to get enough hours of it in my little bottles, though, so it may be relative. Currently I'm working through the Blue Whateverberry and Lemonade Giant Canisters of Fuel, I can't bring myself to buy another one until those are out.I think the lemonade was a good investment to tweak some of the other flavors.
I actually got mine on Steep and Cheap (or Bonktown) but I usually only see Orange there lately, or the caffeinated flavors which I can't tolerate.
my only complaint about accelerade is that it gets kind of blechy chalky when it gets warm which is after an hour here in Texas if I Start out with it frozen solid, and lesss than an hour with ice cubes.
This year I have been drinking FRS instead- while it doesn't have the whey protein it has everything else. I like the fact that it comes in handy little tubes as well as larger powder kegs so I use the big thing to mix the bottle the night before and then take a couple of tubes with me for replacement. It comes in orange, lemon lime and berry- the orange is the strongest flavor but not objectionably so. The berry and lemon lime are very nice.

It doesn't have protein though? After experimenting in the hot weather I've found that to be quite helpful. Perpetuam seems to work pretty well for me as well - though as I think about it - Perpetuam is what I used on the hottest of days. Currently am using single-serving packages as "samples" to see what my body thinks of it all before getting a large container.
Saturday I used Heed (everything but the protein) for my 3 hour ride and could tell a decided difference over the previous long ride on which I had used the Perpetuam. Heed works great for shorter rides.
Out of curiosity, did you try it with one of the Polar insulated bottles?
