BAY AREA: Vader the Kitty needs a home!

I'm losing my place indefinately and am trying to re-home a kitty whom I was supposed to be temporarily watching. The people backed out a few months ago, and he's been here ever since.

Unfortunately I will no longer have a house and I absolutely refuse to send him to a shelter. If you know anyone that might be able to take in this very sweet kitty, please give me a ring. Thanks!

    Hi,

Can you get him into the care of rescue group? I know most are full with people losing their lease or losing their house. But it may give your boy more time to find a home. Also there would be more exposure. Also check into no-kill shelter. There must be one near where you live.

The downturn on the economy has put serious strain on most rescue groups. It's happening to the rescue group I work with. I've lost count of returned kitties.

I wish I had better advice.

Sadly, this is happening all over the country as more and more people are jobless/homeless. Animal shelters are already swamped...animals have no where to go anymore. Wish I could be more helpful- he's a beautiful boy.

Spaying and neutering will be the only hope for the future of dogs and cats in the US.

I hope whoever adopts Vader immediately gets him neutered. The last thing this world needs are more unwanted kittens.

I agree. I wish I could afford to do it right now, I was under the impression that this would be short term, and his owner was supposed to get this taken care of and never did.

Do you have legal ownership of the cat? If so, perhaps you could find a free or low cost spay/neuter service. Good luck with placing him. It's not easy, but not impossible either.
