Are you an LSU football fan, by any chance? or LA Lakers?

I have never been laughed at for my shoes not matching -- and my bike is orange and my shoes are soft, baby pink!

Purple and yellow sound way cool. Besides, I think some of those matchy matchy outfits the guys wear are like garanimals.
Oh yes, roadies do think they are into fashion. Why else would there be red and yellow tires?

All I have to say it "ouch!". I like my cute little tank tops and my little sugar shorts. Oh, and my socks that say "sexy" and my socks that have a picture of bad kitty on them. When a guy passes me, I want to be sure he KNOWS I'm a woman!! Are you saying that you trail riders don't want to look hot and take advantage of the results of all that hard pedalling??

people invest way too much energy in either worrying about what they look like on a bike, or *****ing about what others look like. Who gives a rip? Go with what makes you happy.

The icing on the cake was a thread on roadbike review where some woman said that guys wearing tanks tops make her want to vomit. What is the matter with people?

    LOL
    Funny thread
Somewhere I have an article written by a woman about the take-over of her house with cycling stuff - convos (eg carbo-loading), clothes and parts... and in it she mentions how the best dressed man will disregard all concern about style or matching colours when they don lycra and sponsered/team jerseys so many of us ride for training!
I'll hunt it out... its well worth reading, and applies of course across genders

Who cares about the colour of your pedals as long as you like them
Besides, yellow and purple are complementary colours... like red and green
Yellow and purple can look fabulous together... think pansies!!!

Say 'yaboo-sucks-to-you' and enjoy your new pedals and ride with sunshine under your feet!

I'm thinking Anyone who duct tapes a cat to their bike - can ride in whatever they want!!!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

Purple and yellow are the colors for one of our local high schols. Can't say I ever heard anyone laugh at them --well not for the color combo any how!

Asphaltgirl, you MUST post a picture of the bike. Include an outrageous outfit that you would really wear with it.

I'm jealous. I still have the spd's that my trek came with and absolutely cannot decide what pedals to switch to. I drool over those yellow candies every time a catalogue comes in the mail.
