    Fell at work(again)!

I can't believe it. I fell at work today(again). Previously, I fell at work May 2006(in the OR the RN left a cord hanging down and my foot get caught and I off a lift onto my right knee - put a crack in my patella - not a complete fracture) - was off work for 6 months - went back to work last June. Today I was coming back from the Cafeteria(with a diet pop) and 2 guys from Housekeeping were mopping the floor - no signs, etc.... didn't realize the floor was wet(the guys were down at the end of the hall) - down I went on my right knee, I filled out an incident report - my knee aches. I see my OS next Tuesday. My knee was just starting to feel really good - I was going to see if I can go back to work(as a Surgical Tech). I've been on partial Worker's Comp and want to get off that(train to h***). I can hear HR/Associate Health(the ones that deal with Worker's Comp) - saying that ##### fell again. Thanks, just had to vent.

I agree, worker's comp is the road to hell. I hope you're just bruised and heal quickly this time!

Oh man, what an unlucky break for you (sorry about the pun). Oh please knee, please don't be damaged. Your person wants to get back into the swing and not be down another day. Please, oh please be ok.

Let us know what the OS says. Can't someone see you earlier? Or at least order X-rays?

    wet floors

I slipped on a floor at my hospital several years ago. I didn't fall, but the attempt to stay upright resulted in all kinds of pulled/strained muscles. The guys who were stripping and waxing the floor prior to an inspection had been told that no one ever used our hall. UHHH . . . WRONG!! I wasn't treated very well by hospital management. It was as though it was my fault. I was so angry. It took 2 weeks before the pain and soreness went away. But, I did heal.
I hope you recover quickly and that there is no real damage. I'm sorry this happened to you. Take care of yourself. Keep your chin up.
