Why bother posting on this mssg board if your post gets deleted by the Admin!

Msg boards are used to voice opinions as well as helpful tips.

To the Admin who deleted my post under the Sex thread - You must be a no life fat board troll and must be a serious control freak!

    This is a moderated board

.. and insulting the moderator isn't going to get you very far.

Your previous post generated multiple complaints regarding its appropriateness and I, as the moderator, agreed that it was inappropriate so I deleted your post.

There are plenty of other boards where you can appreciate the female anatomy as you see fit -- I suggest you spend your time there instead of here.

administrator advises ".. and insulting the moderator isn't going to get you very far. "

yup, yup, it always helps to make your point when you jump up and down, scream and yell and insult people. That's what I owe the dizzying heights of success I enjoy today. Just kidding, really!

Thanks admin for guarding this very special place in cyberspace...of course I'm curious what the comment was, must have been a doozey. oh well, I don't wanna know. I appreciate the female anatomy as much as the next gal but I'm here for the bike porn ;-) Let's keep it to that, ladies.

Hi Trek - I read it last night. From the post it seems Nurple is a guy and he explained how much he enjoyed riding with women in lycra as he can admire their fit bodies. He mentioned 'If you've got it, flaunt it'.

Personally I didn't think the original post contained anything unduley offensive, however, as the Administrator pointed out it certainly wasn't in the spirit of the board.

Was also a little confussed - I know we had a guy on here just before Christmas who posted a great message. He was looking for some advise about what kit he should get for his girlfriend as he was getting her a bike for Christmas and wanted to suprise her. Otherwise, without want to exclude anyone, I agree, there's probably other forums that are more appropriate for Nurple to hang out.

Now if he'd put how much he enjoyed riding with women because , not only did they look good, but were great fun to be with, had a fantastic sense of humour, were adventurous, enthusiastic, supportive, and just generally all round cool people to be with - then that might be a different story.

MightyMitre you're right that "if he'd put how much he enjoyed riding with women because , not only did they look good, but were great fun to be with, had a fantastic sense of humour, were adventurous, enthusiastic, supportive, and just generally all round cool people to be with - then that might be a different story."

yup.... not only the post might have stayed but he might have generated interest in going on some epic training rides. Oh well. Nurple, if you're still lurking you've got a lot to learn if you want to ride with teamestrogen, chicks dig it when you're supportive and give compliments. ;-)

When you find a new forum that you find interesting, I suggest that you lurk for a while. Read a good sampling of posts to feel out the room. Get an idea of style and temperament. If it seems like the right kind of forum, then join in. But if you don’t fit or it doesn’t fit you, move on…

Nurple, this is a very nice group here. I’m sure that if you read even a dozen threads, you would realize that this message board’s theme is support and information. There is no flaming or name calling. I’m not saying that it’s a bunch of sheep and that a difference of opinion isn’t welcome. Just present that opinion in a respectful manner.

    Just my 2 cents...

Well said Adventure Girl. There's forum's a-plenty for having rows and slanging matches. Glad this isn't one of them.

I really appreciate that this is a very supportive forum with none of the flaming or inconsiderate responses that you see on other boards. I feel like it's OK to be me here...

    Insert Confused Face Here

What would a guy get out of a womens cycling board anyway? OK - I know that sound like male-bashing and I'm not a male-basher, but most of the things we chat about here are female-specific so I just gotta wonder what a guy would gain by reading the threads. I belong to several other co-ed bike forums, and I gotta tell ya, they don't talk about the same things TE does!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

I hope we gave the guy at Christmas time some good advice for what to get his financee. Other than that - maybe some weird voyeurism. Think about the shaving thread.

I think the next time a guy shows up, we should welcome him, and then go into extensive detail about menstrual flow. That ought to take care of any problems we might have with voyeurism.

Ladies, lets not catagorize here. Purple Nurple had no business being here in my opinion, however if you read the post on the guy buying a bike for his fiance for a wedding present and the great video he posted, well, I wouldn't lump all the men together. There is always going to be the occasional weirdo, but we shouldn't scare off the guys looking for help.

I agree with surlygirl - all men are not pigs. I quite like 'em myself. I never saw the "offending" post, but it had to have been pretty bothersome for the admin to delete it. From some of the garbage I've seen on other mail lists, I can only imagine.....

Ladies, my husband (avid cyclist) found this site. He eaves drops. Last week he said, "You know, women's forums are different than men's." "Oh?" I said in my best counsellor voice. "Yes. They are more open. There's no bragging. There's no competition. When there's a problem, they solve it." Aha.

But he wouldn't dare participate. He respects us too much.
    You're never too old!
