    Made his mama cry

We had half an hour to kill Sunday, and a nice bike store in the strip mall, and a need for new gloves and a cyclometer, and the toddler, and, well, one thing led to another and yes I did start to cry ...

He can't work the pedals yet, but it's not long now!

In saner moments we are trying to decide between the 12-inch frame shown, and a "trailer" bike that would attach to our bikes. We have a bike seat, but will be borrowing a Burley trailer from a friend. The toddler has a tricycle, but has a hard time reaching the pedals. He's only 35 inches tall!

How cute! The two little guys that live next door to me are buzzing around on two wheelers now - I see future racers!

Way to get him hooked up. That's such a special moment. Everyone remembers their first bike.

susiej - how old is the little one? Many kids go to the trailer bikes around age 4. This is often when they can actually reach the pedals on the trailer and have the strength and balance to stay on the bike without throwing off the balance of the adult.

    Definitely a cute picture.

He is 2 and a month.

I'll pass on the info about balance to the husband, who will do most of the biking attached to our son because 1) it's nice to have something to slow my husband down to my speed and 2) he falls off his bike less often than I do. (I've fallen off in the back yard while test riding before spring maintenance.)
