Terry Bicycles?

I have been reading the forums for a few weeks now and have heard so much about many different brands of bikes. I never read anything about Terry bikes though. Just out of curiosity, whats the general feel towards these bikes?

I'm not in the market for one, but have only ever seen Terry's own promo reviews, nothing much from real users.

All I can ride are terry bikes. I currently have a 2005 titanium Isis, 2003 steel isis w S/S couplers, and recently retired a 2001 classic. For me, they let me get the shorter top tube I need, but still have normal frame angles (I need a bike with a 73 degree seat tube to get set up properly) so the fit and handling is better than some of the other solutions, for me. I have long legs (femurs) but a relatively short upper body and arms, and ride a small frame size (19").

I rode a Terry bike for years, and would probably still be riding it if it hadn't been washed away in a hurricane a few years ago. Maybe some lady mullet is riding it now.

Mine was an older steel Terry bike--I can't really say anything about the snappy new composite frames.

I just bought a Terry Fast Woman in Sept 2006. My first bike in 20+ years. I have the smallest one, 16 inch frame. It is a great bike & as the name says fast. More bike than I need but I really am enjoying it. My old bike is a Centurion Ironman...now on my trainer.

After working my way through a number of bikes, I've settled on two Terry's!

My road bike is a 2005 Titanium Isis and I LOVE it to death. It's a wonderful bike and rides like it is an extension of me. I'm average height but I have a long torso with short arms and legs. The Terry was the only bike (in my price range) that I could get to fit me just right (with a few tweaks). Plus, the titanium rides like a dream!

I also have a 2004 Classic which is a steel touring bike. Right now, it's my commuter. Hopefully this summer, it'll get to do a little short touring as well. I just finished converting it to drop bars, so as soon as the time change hits, I'm commuting again!!

I adore both of my Terry's both for their fit, their beauty and for their uniqueness (we don't have a local dealer so I rarely see another Terry). The service has been great and I'm very, very happy with my choices.

I have a 1999 steel Terry Classic. I'm very happy with Bleu, but the flat bars were taking a toll on my arms; I developed tendonitis. Currently she is in the bike hospital getting an extreme makeover - Bars, brifters, brakes and stem replacement. I can't wait to see her!

I did exactly the same thing to mine, put on drop bars, sti shifters and canti brakes. The flat bars didn't work for me either on long rides. The only reason I had to retire her is that she started to rust, and I wanted her parts to build my travel bike, starting with a 2003 reynolds 853 steel isis frame I picked up for a song on ebay, never built up. I am really happy with my steel isis, that I put s/s couplers and canti bosses on so I can use her for traveling and touring as well as fast riding.
