A parade of bicycles...
How many ways can you put together steel, wool and canvas? Not all the bicycles on the Rivendell camping trip were Rivendells... but most were. Here are the Mug Shots.

And don't forget leather (the Brooks saddles). Looks like a Rivendell catalog... very pretty. (But what's that Litespeed doing in there?)

Gosh - I can't believe I forgot the leather. I was disappointed to learn that Brooks has discontinued my saddle. At $140.00 I would not have stocked up in advance - well maybe one extra.

V, what Brooks do you have? Wallingford has a nice selection. And a super return policy. I bought a women's Brooks (a Flyer'S') and decided my tush is more suited to a B17, and they took the Flyer back no questions asked, about 4 months after I bought it (3.5 months of which it spent in it's box
), and sent me a B17 and credited me the difference. What a great shop!Last edited by jobob : 05-18-2004 at 08:35 PM. |

I have the Finesse in British racing green. I just checked Wallbike - they have it. It's now $170! I don't need another saddle currently. Although we're strongly considering getting some new mountain bikes this summer. I have a Terry Butterfly on my current mountain bike and that so far has worked out pretty well. I'll probably move that to a new mountain bike.
I LOVE the Finesse on both Fluffy and the tandem. I did 15 miles on Sunday in street clothes - no padding - and was perfectly comfortable. Okay so 7 of it was descending Diablo from Juniper. V. |

You could get the Pro'S', that's basically the same saddle but without Ti rails, and it costs a lot less ... but you might lose a bit of aerodynamic advantage (heh). Alas, it doesn't come in the tres cool British racing green.
Did ya see the new saddlebags? They're so cuuute! http://www.wallbike.com/Brookssaddles.html |

Hey at least you get tools with the tool bag! I'll stick to my burrito wrap. It works.
