Guys how are you sorry for imposing on your site.
I have just started a cycling website www.bikeriders.info and im worried about it becoming to one sides eg male biased.
I would be really grateful if any of you guys would be interested in popping along and showing your support and most of all helping me contribute to the site from a female perspective.
Im fed up of all the testosorone floating about

Yup, we're gals, but I tend to use that "you guys" thing pretty generically myself, so I never exactly notice it as a problem.
Thanks for the invite! It's good to hear that you'd like our input!

Craig are you Aussie?? O_O
The site's time is default AEST, and there's a lot a whole section for Aussie wide cycling links.
Sweet!
The very reason I stay away from co-ed forums is because of the vast amount of testosterone poisioning. I'll stick with TE thanks.
And this is a women's forum - at least respect that.
Thanks, Craig. I appreciate your efforts and will try to help.
"My predominant feeling is one of gratitude. I have loved and been loved;I have been given much and I have given something in return...Above all, I have been a sentient being, a thinking animal, on this beautiful planet, and that in itself has been an enormous privilege and an adventure." O. Sacks
No apology needed Craig - thank you for being upfront with us. We've had other fellows on TE who were less than honest.
I'll check out your site![]()

Nevermind...the site works for me now.![]()
We've had men inquiring about what to buy for their women-cyclists, and it was a civilized conversation. I don't really think that a man would want to stick around for some of our conversations...Originally Posted by Cassandra_Cain

But, yes, I've had bad experiences on mixed forums - mainly body building forums (imagine that!) Recently, I had the nerve to question An Authority about a diet program, e.g., "Show me the science" and exposed a lie that he told. I was thoroughly hammered. The forum administrator wrote to me privately and suggested that I publically apologize because these contributors (book authors who have something to sell) were giving unselfishly of their time (yeah, right, and please buy my book). The administrator said if they are questioned, they might leave the forum (OK Mr. Administrator, and then nobody would buy the stuff you try to sell either...right?)
TE has been a safe place for many of us for years. We've only had a couple of excitable people (remember Miz Liz, anybody?) and they left. There is very little that isn't discussed here - from proper grammer to bikini waxes. I think a guy would soon become bored, or horribly embarrased. And, if he's obnoxious, we have our trusty Administrator who can chop off his....head...yeah that's it!

Just think of it as a compliment....our market has been discovered: fabulous women who ride![]()
Long live TE!! I hope TE remains a womens forum. Although I don't mind the occaisional well behaved male visitor as long as he has his required hall pass and leaves the seat down.
Bet you didn't expect that from the gal who bats for the other team![]()
And thanks to the hardworking admins who keep TE blissfully spam and drama free.
I am sceptical of any link on someones first TE post no matter who they seem to be.I never click on one, who knows where it'll lead. The links our senior members post here are bad enough
