Another pet peeve of mine besides blowing through the lights, stop signs and othe infractions.

When I'm out training, I want to train. I'm not there socializing, I'm not just tootin' along. I HAVE A PURPOSE!!! I'm nice and stop and ask you if you need help. I'll engage in small talk at stop lights. I'm not totally unsocial but... if you are going to pass me then pass me and keep pulling away from me. Don't pass then slow down below my speed. I have to speed up and pass you. This upsets my rythm of things.

So I "played" leap frog with this guy for about 3 times. By the third time I was passing (trying to pass) him, he decided he wanted to stay in front of me. So he would speed up, I go back down to my pace and he slowed down. I would speed up to pass then he sped up. Most irratating. My bad attitude got the better of me. After three or so times of this non-sense I finally had enough and decided to hammer on a slight incline. See if he wanted to respond. I guess I still have it in me. I went onto my drops, managed to get it up to 23MPH then when the road leveled out, I managed to get my pace up to 25-26MPH and held it there for about two miles. Irritating guy is gone. Yipee!! (still really sad to what I once could)

That was last friday. I'm still hurting today. my quads are burning from trying to go up a flight of stairs. my ham strings are going oui oui oui while sitting in my chair, my glutes are no happier either and calves are hard as a rock from being all knotted up. My back is fine though But, it's already Monday. I must be getting old. The good news/bad news is I've got an appointment for Rolfing tomorrow.

Saturday was an easy 20miler with only 1500feet of climb. Sunday, I rode with 30lb of cat food in my day pack for a delivery then spent 20 minutes on my trainer. That was all I had in me. today no ride. forget about my scheduled 40 mile training ride for today. I'm soo toasted it's really sad.

Maybe I'll hop on a trainer tomorrow evening for about an hour and half. I really should hook up a generator. I know I'm still good for 100w/hr or more.

commute on a bike?? r u kiddin me? I'm still working on that one.
