I understand that it has to be more than desire, (your signature says it all). I've been merely desiring for many years now. I feel I just kind of recently am 'waking up' and my potential isn't all that impossible to achieve, which is probably merely nothing compared to your weekly rides !
What level? I'm slower than cold molasses. I just wanted you know that everyone starts somewhere and you can achieve lots. But keep your expectations realistic and set goals that are possible for you.

I know I will never weigh much less than 150 and I will never be a fast climber. But I have a high pain tolerance and lots of endurance. That makes most double centuries within my grasp. I will probably never be able to do Terrible Two - the time cutoff is too stringent.

I am also kind of reevaluating what I want this year. Training for doubles takes a lot of time. I miss riding with my husband and so I may not do any this year - certainly not any of the spring ones. Plus I need to get my knee healed.

My weekly rides - sometimes all I do is commute to work!

Keep plugging away, you'll get there.
