Who Rides Mt. Veeder?

I'm in my best shape ever at 48, if that's any help.

Before I got my first bike a few years back I was decidedly a lazy lardbutt. Now, a bit less so.

Can someone point me to a map or a routesheet that shows Mt Veeder? For the life of me I can't remember if I've ever ridden up it. ( 48 -> approaching senility )

Basically, Mt Veeder is the WestSide of NapaValley, with the two roads that lead up coming from NorthNapa, and the other from Oakville, just north of Yountville, which is North of Napa. It is both a name of the actual geological mountain, as well as the name of a road called "Mt Veeder rd".

Just curious.... where did you go for beer?

We brought our own to the park in Yountville where our TNT honoree potluck was held after the ride. Our SAG folks bring it.

There were people from run team, Tahoe cycle team and Death ride team - it was a pretty big gathering.

And to think that some of us were out on the Cinderella course FREEZING our little ....ses off!

Oh it was plenty cold in the morning. Wind machines and sprinkler going full force. By about 10 it was lovely.

Hope the Cindy was fun.

Hey, I thought you were stuck on the GG bridge! Or were you just listening to the kvetching of those who were?

I listened to the kvetching. I had to bail (longish story involving 4 12 year olds, waffles and a stem cell transplant) but am planning to moto out there and bring them snacks.
