    well, actually my cousin divorced him, but I am still related to their kids who work in the business. But, well, you know, we're all related anyway....we're from the South!

    ahh Mr. and Mrs. Silver...

    Your making me REALLY want to take a trip down your way! Of course our friends moved from Hoover to Villa Rica GA a few years ago, but I can still stay a day in B'ham just for the cue. I had Williamson brothers in GA, as well as Jim n Nicks at their GA location, but I like the one in B'ham better. Actually I think it was in Pelham? Can't remember, but yes you can smell good cue from MILES away!!
    And here I am trying to watch the diet in prep for the big race!! You know I DO have to get on a scale at registration in front of ALL the other athletes!

    Yes, but for all the endless debate, there's still only one that earns the title....MEMPHIS!

    Here's the reason: I don't eat food with my fingers...but dry (that is, seasoned) ribs from the Rendevous...now that's worth getting your fingers messy for...SO, if Memphis ribs could convert me, then they must be the best.

    Oh and CC- In the south it's mostly pork. Texas is known for their beef brisket.
    It's a very regional thing. Right down to dry rub (seasoning of the meat) or wet, and what kind of sauce that comes with it. Vinegar based, tomato or no, mustard based etc. You could literally tour parts of this country and just go around tasting different kinds of bbq- or 'cue.
