I think it is Latin, not Italian for "fast friends" (puns intended, I'm sure!)

Amici Veloci is supposed to mean Fast Friends in Italian, according to Babelfish. Maybe all this time we've been wearing jerseys that really say something like "When pigs fly".

Babelfish is correct. I knew Amici before, and asked my friend (who is fluent in Italian) about the word "Veloci." She asked in what context, and I told her, and she replied, "Fast friends, that's cute!"

Never fear, fishie. My credit card and I may yet agree to disagree on whether or not I can afford armwarmers, as long as someone tells me how I know what size to get (the Voler site wasn't helpful) and as long as the postage over the pond isn't going to be exorbitant...

Great photo of y'all in your AV kit, by the way.

I'll be getting arm warmers for a friend, a second jersey for me, and I just got the check from the Danville parking lot guy (the story SK never told!), so that's another shortsleeve jersey...

What do you think the chances of these arriving in my hands by August 18th are? I really want to wear it in my first century!

BTW...I'm going to put in my order as soon as I get Tiffanie's sizing. I'm buying her an AV jersey for her birthday present.

Earlier in this thread, AG (post # 51) and I (post #78) both discussed how we thought the arm warmers run small.

So, unless your arms are very slender, I suggest you order arm warmers in a size medium.
