I've been accused of not having much of a sense of humor, except perhaps, in an "inappropriate" way. And Indy, if a joke has to do with animals, I definitely will not get it.

Dear Mom:

Tonight was a perfect example of why I don't call you. I called to check on you. I was treated to 59 minutes of what's wrong with your life, why none of my suggestions will work, and your ignoring reality. I barely got a word in. I told you I needed to go fix dinner 35-40 minutes ago (after a reasonable time on the phone). You ignored that and yammered on at me for the remainder of the time. I have things I need to do. It's almost 10PM and I have to go fix dinner now. You are rude and incredibly self centered. I'm sorry your life sucks - but to be candid, I don't remember a time that it didn't suck. Quite frankly, I'm tired of hearing it - particularly for this length of time.
