In the end, the only real improvement is you feel better (some days). Sure when PT is done l have full ROM but it does not last. I begin to wonder if this is a hopeless task and I can already hear my Dr tell me that he knew surgery would be required, (he has already implied this several times). Let's prove him wrong already, ok? Please? l do not have the money for it and living alone makes shoulder surgery more challenging than it would be if I didn't. Don't you want to act like a shoulder? That is all I ask...

That stinks, Mimi. I hate when friends stand me up. I hope she/he makes it up to you somehow.

I didn't necessarily mean a "he" in a romantic sense, but many of us have platonic male friends, so I wanted to account for that possibility in my comment.

It makes me uncomfortable that men are being generalized or categorized (just like woman are by men). Not all men are azzholes.

I never said they were. We're just sharing a few jokes here. If you don't find the jokes funny, fine, but I think you're otherwise reading too much into them. Remember that this started because I didn't want to assume that Mimi's friend was a woman. I wouldn't have suggested that possibility if I thought men weren't worth having as friends in the first place.

I should add that I posted about liking male cats because Mimi and I are both cat people and have bonded (I'd like to think) over that shared love. It had nothing, really, to do with what I think of men.

I absolutely did not mean to imply that all (or ANY) men were assholes. I am recently widowed and do not want to spend ANY one on one time with males who are not my sons, nephews or cousins... It has nothing to do with THEM.

Perhaps I did read too much into it.
I've been accused of not having much of a sense of humor, except perhaps, in an "inappropriate" way. And Indy, if a joke has to do with animals, I definitely will not get it.
See, I am an all around too serious person.

    Dear Mom:

Tonight was a perfect example of why I don't call you. I called to check on you. I was treated to 59 minutes of what's wrong with your life, why none of my suggestions will work, and your ignoring reality. I barely got a word in. I told you I needed to go fix dinner 35-40 minutes ago (after a reasonable time on the phone). You ignored that and yammered on at me for the remainder of the time. I have things I need to do. It's almost 10PM and I have to go fix dinner now. You are rude and incredibly self centered. I'm sorry your life sucks - but to be candid, I don't remember a time that it didn't suck. Quite frankly, I'm tired of hearing it - particularly for this length of time.

    Your very irked daughter
