    I like my PF Flyers.

Now, see, everyone's all about the Chuck Taylors, but when I was in high school we all had to wear Jack Purcells. Anyone else wear those???

For me it was Adidas Stan Smiths in HS, but I was on the tennis team so that may have influenced the style.

I'm so old, when I was in HS, we were just about transitioning from little Villager dresses and Nantucket basket purses to Landlubber bellbottoms with midriff tops and leather sandals .
I bought a pair of those red PF Flyers high tops when I was in my early thirties and in my "aerobics instructor" phase. I wore them one day with a turquoise sundress with a red sleeveless t shirt under and my DH told me I had gone "a little too far" for a mother of 2 young kids. Seriously, I did look a little weird. I traded in the high tops for a pair of funky red canvas flats that I wore until they fell apart.

No, I am just without peers!

(seriously, the people I work with are mostly much younger, so unless I am helping them out with something, I am invisible.)

I love hi-tops.... I used to wear them all of the time at work, until one day I realized that no one knew my name.... I was just that little photographer girl with the red tennis shoes. I switched to Doc Martins soon after

These days I almost always wear skirts, mainly because it has become really difficult to find nice fitting, nice dress pants and my current work place has a no jeans policy. It doesn't hurt that my job has transitioned to no chemicals, no darkroom necessary so it's much cleaner and I feel like I can wear nice clothes and that they won't just end up ruined.

I still have several pairs of Chucks - and I can wear kids sizes so I can usually get all the crazy colors I want. I even have a pair that I got customized in my team colors.
