My new non-farm blog: Finding Freedom
Really it looks appealing to me, but I don't necessarily trust anyone's in-house tests. I'd like to see an independent party try to saw through one or jimmy the lock. And I'm not going to shell out the bucks to do it myself...
But here's what some people have posted on MTBR about cutting titanium fasteners and seatposts. Short answer - with the right tool it's really not a problem. http://forums.mtbr.com/weight-weenie...lt-600058.html They don't address whether it takes longer than cutting steel (I would guess it does), which could make theft harder in some locales.

I think some of the kickstarter money raised is going for independent party testing... apparently it isn't cheap to get that tasting done. I wonder if any bloggers have tested one yet with intent to destroy...Originally Posted by OakLeaf
I figure it will store better than a cable lock for my trip, weigh about as much and will afford me more protection as well. Ever since I locked my bike to a tree with a small cable lock and had lost the key en route and watched as the locksmith popped it off in about a half a second, I've been looking for something better![]()
