Exactly! That's why I think it's such fun to play with. You have every skill and every characteristic of every "type." Finding your preferences (which skills you lean on the most comfortably) is fun.

Having a preference is not a weakness. It is not something to be overcome. There isn't one perfect "type" we should all strive for. No perfect Aryan god/dess. It isn't "ENTP uber alles." I dig it. It's fun.

20 years ago I got all hot and bothered over the concept of "individuation." I read every dayum thing I could find on it. Since then I've matured and eased off on the "I must strive to become..." shineola. If it isn't fun, why bother? That's what I like about the uncorrupted MB stuff, there is no "strive," there's just preference. No value scale. Groovy.

Jung is easier in comic book form. I just searched my bookshelves for my favorite comic-book of Jung. Apparently I traded it in while in the process of casting off my chains <grin>. (the definitive act of individuation?) (get it? Individuating by refusing to work on individuation? See what I did there?)

Just took the test and got:
    Your type is: ISTJ

ISTJ - "Trustee". Decisiveness in practical affairs. Guardian of time- honored institutions. Dependable. 11.6% of total population.

    Introverted (I) 53.13% Extroverted (E) 46.88%
    Sensing (S) 80% Intuitive (N) 20%
    Thinking (T) 75.76% Feeling (F) 24.24%
    Judging (J) 51.52% Perceiving (P) 48.48%

Guardian of time -- does that mean like a Time Lord in Doctor Who?

ISTJ, which is pretty much how I've always come out on these tests. I've always been viewed by family and friends as the dependable, level-headed one. Sounds kind of boring.

Nearly 20 years ago I tested ENTJ but now ESTJ. I'm going to guess that the change to S is because of life experience (a little more pragmatic) and I'm presently not doing anywhere near as much to feed my inner creativity. Interestingly, this weekend I started to organize my workroom so I can go back to playing with color rather than computers.

    Extroverted (E) 55.26% Introverted (I) 44.74%
    Sensing (S) 52.78% Intuitive (N) 47.22%
    Thinking (T) 63.16% Feeling (F) 36.84%
    Judging (J) 70.59% Perceiving (P) 29.41%

I clicked ENTJ because I think that is more my natural realm. My right brain shuts down when the left brain is stressed but we're working on that.

I've come out both INFJ and INFP. I guess I can take it again as a vote splitter to see which I'll come out with this time.

I first took this 12 years ago, with an INTJ answer. Now I'm ISTJ:

    somehow I missed this one.

ENTJ - "Field Marshall". The basic driving force and need is to lead. Tend to seek a position of responsibility and enjoys being an executive. 1.8% of total population.

Does this mean I'm a control freak?? YIKES!!
