I don't like to work out with earbuds, but I've always wondered about that. Seems like it would be worth the investment for you to get a set of water resistant ones!

I cannot recommend the Sennheiser sport ones enough. They are so water resistant that I have SUBMERGED them in warm, soapy water to get them clean when they get too funked-up with sweat. They also don't cancel ambient noise, so I can hear cars and sounds around me when I wear them (though I still don't wear them on the bike, just while running).

sounds like the waterproof earbuds are the solution. Will try and get a pair of Sennheiser sports ones. Like you I don't wear them riding but would die of boredom without them and podrunner podcasts during cardio training and elliptical training.

Thanks for the suggestion zoom zoom and oak leaf.
