Maybe look up some vegan desserts with no nuts?

Oh, I looked this up. They suggest melting the chocolate with some type of shortening.

Pudding made with soy milk and cocoa powder (which should not contain dairy) - it is just as yummy as pudding made with regular milk. You could even make parfaits - layer different flavors of puddings, bananas or other fruit, cookies if you can find any that are allergen free.... (hard to find things that haven't at least been in the same factory as peanuts though) - or you could make some. Ginger snaps don't have milk, eggs or nuts!

I have a recipe for the suggested pudding:

1/2 liter of soy milk
3 table spoons of pure cocoa
3 table spoons of sugar
3 table spoons of cornstarch OR 2 small spoons of Agar Agar

Take a small amount of s.milk and mix it with the rest of the ingredients to a smooth paste.
Cook the rest of the s.milk, then add the paste and stir. Let this cook for 2 minutes (don't forget to stir). Fill into whatever forms you like and let it cool.

Make sure any flour and milk substitutes you use are processed in nut-free facilities, if he's highly allergic.

I haven't done much eggless baking, but there are lots of recipes for vegan cakes online, and I know I don't miss the baked goods at my favorite vegan restaurant. There are links to some yummy sounding vegan cupcake recipes here - coconut oil is optional in all of them, which IME if he can tolerate coconut, adds some wonderful richness, but the recipes allow for other shortening if he can't have coconut.

Vegan brownies, made with cocoa powder and vegan margarine. I can't remember where I found the recipe, but they were a big hit with my vegan and non-vegan friends alike.

We use baking products from Vermont Nut Free chocolate and they are fine. They are exactly like other baking chocolates.

There's nothing in "allergy-friendly chocolate" that isn't in the regular kind. It's just that most chocolate is processed in facilities that do tree nuts, so it's unsafe for people who have life-threatening nut allergies.

There was one company I looked at that did say their chocolate didn't melt well, but whatever. The shortening thing may just be a variant on the suggestion to melt chocolate with paraffin. Yum!

Make vegan desserts! I'm a vegan baker and always manage to have cupcakes and cookies on hand. I linked to a vegan blog that I love and have cooked from many times. The vanilla cupcakes there are my go-to. The only item you probably don't have in your kitchen right now is the almond milk and since nuts are out use soy milk instead anyway. I've made wonderful 'buttercream' frosting using Earth Balance margarine (it's non-hydrogenated) instead of butter and soy milk instead of cow milk.
