I've decided that rather than it reminding me of James Bond in a tux with a wild tie, it's Daniel Craig as James Bond in a tux stripping down to his swim trunks. Fast, elegant and racy wild.

Beautiful bike!
I have been oggling the Pegoretti range for a long time. I look forward to seeing some snaps when you have your new baby all decked out.
Has anyone read anything lately about Dario and how he is going?

The most effective way to do it, is to do it.

From what I hear, Dario is doing well and is back at the bench building bikes (yay!). He was just at the NAHBS show apparently.
Don't know more than that.

Wow, that really is pretty. I see what you mean in describing it as art. It's really pretty. Do you think you'll go for high-end parts? All Red components?
Is that a racing bike or plush one built for doing longer rides like centuries?
May I ask what sort of insurance coverage you have that covers a stolen bicycle? I want to make sure my bike is covered, too, because I often leave her in the Rav when I'm at work or at the Y or shopping.
Did you have to provide some sort of market value for an equivalent bike, or did you have your bike on a rider already, in detail?
Thanks!

I am going with campy record 11. we have always been campy people.
the insurance is our homeowners insurance. we specified we want coverage for replacement value of our personal property (as opposed to actual cash value, "ACV"). if you only have acv, depreciation is factored in and you get nothing. we certainly wouldnt be buying this bike. we were concerned if there was a fire (a real possibility where we live) we wouldnt be able to replace our business clothes, etc.
ETA racy v. plush: it's their scandium frame. could do anything.
