This is very much along the lines of Jobob's new signature line: How much Healthy Choice ice cream can I eat before it's no longer a healthy choice?Originally Posted by Pedal Wench
Now you've got me all wound up over the cashmere hoody!I checked it out online and it looks SO comfy and soft and pretty. My visa card is burning a hole in my pocket. But tell me, do you really have to handwash it? I hate handwashing stuff. would rather just pay the $ to dryclean. Maybe I'm lazy but it seems to take forever to wash a jacket or sweater, roll it in a towel, try to shape it to dry flat, yada, yada. So fill us in on the cleaning part...
The beauty of natural materials like wool and cashmere is that they don't retain odors when allowed to air out after wearing.
Usually I can wear a sweater 5 -6 times before the air drying doesn't work. Even my wool or cashmere bike jerseys can be worn a couple of times.
I refuse to handwash. I throw mine in the machine - sometimes on gentle sometimes not - and hang on them on a towel rack to dry. And I use regular detergent. I haven't lost a sweater to washing yet.

I'm envious of your cashmere hoody.
I'm having serious shopping withdrawals. I can't wait to not be pregnant any more so clothes can fit again!
The fine merino (a la icebreaker) is fantastic! Great for layering. Looks good. Goes in the washing machine no worries - I've got enough of the stuff to shove it all in on a wool wash, but if you fork out the cash for the decent fabric (*sigh* it was nice living in the same town as the Snowy Peak factory and their outlet sales), it does just fine in an ordinary wash too.
Drink coffee and do stupid things faster with more energy.
Maybe you could wear it unzipped until post pregnancy
