7rider I'm sorry about Tasha. She sounds like a very cool bunny.
Andtcrtoo that's one good looking dog. Good luck with fostering him.

Mtbdarby, sounds like you are making progress, one baby step at a time.
Andtcrtoo, what a happy merle boy you have there. Let us know how the fostering is going. He looks like he could be a thinker and a cunning one at that. Have a crate handy and a good leash.![]()

7rider, my sympathies. Your Tasha was an adorable bun-bun. And she looked an awful lot like a Boston Terrier (*my weakness*). So sorry for your loss!![]()

Andtckrtoo - he is a nice looking dog! I hope all is going well.
What a day - I almost ended up with 3 dogs today! Ironically, I was outside measuring my yard to finish the fence and a beautiful collie came walking up to my dogs. He looked to be purebred and to the small side, very young intact male. At first he wouldn't let me come near him but I wanted to check his tag so I could call his owner. I had to put Zeus in because he was protecting his turf, but the dog came back to play with Rusty. I was able to put him on a leash and the stinker lowered his head and his collar came off!
He let me put the collar on and tighten it and I put him on a tie out. I called the numbers on his tag and the land line was no longer his and the cell phone didn't have a name on the message. I left 2 messages and a page but got no reply. I waited around most of the afternoon, missing a chance for my first bike ride, and ended up bringing him to the humane society.I felt awful leaving him there. His name is Schatzie and other than being very humpy he was a happy boy. He rode in my car fine and walked on the leash great. I sure hope they find his owner(s).
And Rusty, a.k.a Hoodini, can open my back door by himself!I had both dogs in the house and I turned around and there he was. He just gave me the sheepish look and rolled over on his back. If I wasn't so surprised I would have laughed. Being the good boy that he is, Zeus stayed in the house. Note to self, Rusty likes to jump and paw and can open horizontal door handles on screen door.
I also tried raw gizzards and chicken wings tonight for the boys and Rusty wouldn't eat either. Zeus did though! Rusty likes ground meat but is a little stubborn with whole pieces.
Please send your thoughts and prayers that Schatzie's owners come and get him. It's really bugging me...

Practice, lots of it. I discovered after tinkering with photography for many moons that my true happy place was sports. I got back into shooting and starting working all the local barrel races with a manual focus SLR I had since high school. Nothing better than baking in the sun all day, kneeling in the dirt, and dodging jacked up horses!
I've played with BMX photography and think I might hit the tracks to make some extra bike money. The pics of the roommates snowboarding came out pretty good too.
That foster pooch is darling!!! I really wish you hadn't shown him to us because I WANT him. I've wanted a blue merle since forever. Hank wouldn't stand for it, only he can be my handsome Aussie boy.

Thanks all. Tasha was a special bun. Everybun is special...but...well, she had DH wrapped around her little paw! She was definitely Daddy's Girl, and both DH and I just moped around the house yesterday...cleaning up her stuff...remembering...sighing...
Christine.. Barley is an absolute doll. Look at that face! Oh, my. I get happy just looking at him.![]()

It's so hard seeing that empty food dish and water bowl....favorite toys....treats....just anything. Give yourself time to grieve to work through it. I still have Jodi's food mat in the area she used to eat. It just doesn't seem right to clear it away.![]()

Sorry about your bunny Seven. It is so hard to lose our little furr babies.
Here are my cats - Sock and Rebecca.
7 - I remember losing my first Aussie, Tucker, and the emptiness I felt for well, I still feel it occasionally. I hope the memories are more sweet than sad soon.
Barley's grin is his normal expression. This is one happy, goofy, wonderful boy. He so deserves a wonderful forever home.

Do you know if Schatzie's owner came for him? Poor guy!! Handsome young purebreds like that always find homes.
I started Jimmy by taking chicken thighs and cutting them (bones and all) with poultry scissors into bite sized pieces. At first he wasn't sure what to do, but he caught on easily enough. Jimmy eats the gizzards with no issues, but I've heard a lot of dogs won't. I've had it recommended to ground those up with pulped veggies (put them in a food processor) with a little bit of chicken broth. If you mix them all together, the dogs seem to find it more palatable.

Zen, I have a half dozen to add to your collection!
Andtckrtoo, yes, his owners came and got him. I know because he was loose and running in my yard again last nightI tried to catch him but no go this time. I called and they answered and drove down by me but he was gone again - they didn't even thank me for catching him last time or for calling them. His excuse for him getting loose is that they're doing some remodeling and he was able to get out. Gee, lock him in a room or tie him outside then. I was quite ticked. I saw him about 7:30 when we got home from swimming lessons and watched him cross a very busy street safely. I called again and left a message. They called me back at 9:30 and still hadn't found him. I feel bad for that dog...and I'm surprised that they haven't gotten a ticket for having their dog running loose.
Alright, I need to get some work done. Have a great day ladies!
