Do you routinely shave your legs in the winter?

I'm not a diligent leg-shaver at all, and in the winter, I have to ask: "What's the point?" I have at least one, usually two or three, layers atop my legs. Plus that extra hair is insulating, right?

By "routinely," I mean even if you don't anticipate anybody seeing your legs any time soon. Wearing of skirts or other leg-revealing clothing would, of course, necessitate some leg-hair deforestation.

I used to just shave from the knees down in winter since I'd wear skirts regularly but never anything shorter.

Now that I'm swimming a couple of times a week, I shave the whole leg (well, both of them). I'm blessed with very light and slow growing hair, though, so I only have to shave once a week, if that often. I know women who shave daily and I just can't imagine giving up that amount of time to shaving.

I take advantage of winter to wax instead of shave. No one but DH is going to see that pre-wax forest during January.... Waxing hurts, but stays smooth longer and it grows back finer (for me anyway).

During the summer, it's 2-3 times a week. My skin's too sensitive for that daily shaving nonsense.

I say yes, but usually only below the mid calf and maybe twice a week. Remember in Texas we wear shorts and Knickers much of the year.

I have 'fur' on my legs and underarms, but it's blondish and DH says he thinks it's really cute, so 10 years ago he convinced me to stop shaving and now I can't even imagine going to all that trouble anymore if apparently I'm way cuter with my fur on!

If I were only a cyclist, I would probably shave less often in the winter, but I also work out in the gym and play tennis indoors so I do shave fairly diligently in the winter. Although, probably not as much as in the summer.

I shave every other day, year round. Sometimes I skip an extra day in the winter, but as others stated, I go to the gym at least 2 days a week in the winter and have various body parts exposed.

The funny thing is DH shaves his legs and we argue over who gets to shave if we are low on cream.

Especially in winter, actually. I do some training indoors, and my darkblond hair looks extra gorillalike over pale blue skin. And it makes hubby happy

I've only started epilating since I took up swimming/tri. Before I went cycling sometimes smooth, sometimes hairy. But since swimming, also in winter.

DH shaves his legs more frequently than I do, especially in winter.

    Red face

I only shave when I am seeing the masseur, and for a few weeks in summer.

Himself hates stubble and requests that I not shave at all.

I just wax. Sort of year round. But my hair and weak is so thin now that it's actually hard to pull it off except with hot wax, which is rarely available. So it's sort-of-waxed most of the time.
