yup, you hit it dead on the nose. It was apparently the building inspectors. They were all taking Fridays off and many aspects of construction were halted because inspectors were willy nilly. So, we ALL lost it.

What really sucked was when I was hired, they had already decided to get rid of compressed work week. I was one of the first batches of new hires who didn't get compressed work week. So for the first year, I worked 5 days when everyone else worked only 4, and what sucked even more was they didn't work any longer hours than I did. It's no secret snivel servants are lazy sods
