Ah yes, surgery. Brings back many fond memories...the visits from friends...the time off from work...the drugs...

Snap, I also relay my best wishes for a successful surgery and quick recovery.

Snap-here is wishing you well for your surgery and afterward. Also may you do well on your marathon. You have made me think a bit about just walking some of these 5K's and other "running" races that are around here locally. Running and I do not get along, but walking is doable. It would be fun to walk one of these races.

Enjoy the time off, read some good books and enjoy visits from friends and others.

Yes, I remember this well from fracturing my pelvis in a cycling accident in 2005 (and having surgery to put it back together again). It was not something I'd ever want to repeat, but there were the perks!

Good luck, Snap! We're all pulling for you!

Good luck on your surgical procedure. Take it easy afterwards, even if you feel well. Takes time for a body to heal.

Gawd, I remember when I had my kid (now 15). I didn't want to leave the hospital. It was so clean!!! No dog hair!!!

    Thumbs up

    Hi Snap

I have not been on here in a while, so have had a lot of catching up to do.

Phew, where to start with good wishes to you?

I'll be thinking of you hun on your marathon walk, you have done really well with the fundraising.

As for your operation, for goodness sake once you are out of hospital, do not do too much, just chill and take each day slowly.

Funny how many people on this site have never even met, yet we still care and worry about each other.

Hey Snap, I get to receive an award in Piccadilly, London this Monday from Gary Lineker for my fundraising..........now that's scary.

    Take good care.

    An award! That's awesome Clock!

I will take it easy after surgery, heck, it's the first time in a long while that I've had all the time in the world to rest, read, sleep

I'm heading up to San Francisco today. I just checked the weather, it's going to be a perfect day tomorrow for the marathon.

MP--your email addy isn't on this computer! Start time is 7 am, pace? Painfully slow? Between 15 and 18 min/mile. I won't be going at my fastest. There is a friends and family meet place at the finish-I'm hoping to be there by 11:30
