REI Labor Day Sale- Got my order in!

    To disable ads, please log-in.

    And I spent my dividend!

    What did I get?

    A Night Rider Trinewt!~
And by people's recommendations on here, a couple of different Eagle Creek "packing cubes". I got the half cube, the full cube and then a packing envelope. The Trinewt was a total surprise because I was holding out to buy it from the LBS but it was on sale and less than $400!!! I thought that was a good deal and if I for some reason change my mind they'll take it back! Even my LBS isn't that understanding! Shipment should be at my local REI (aka 1 hour away!) on the 10th that's the only downside! Anyone else take part? I forgot to look at the waterproof jackets in all the excitement, maybe I can amend my order

Just spent my dividend too today. Purchases included an inexpensive Giro helmet which fit well on me, looks fine (has lime-yellow stripe on white) with visor. I think it was inexpensive because it was a one size model. As long as it has the adjustable sizing dial at back of helmet for fit, it works for me...probably because I have a big head/skull anyway. Did I need another helmet....well no, but my present one is already 3 years old. Besides, we are having visitors from outside the province over next 2 months where we will invite them to cycle,..they can borrow this one. At least 1 of visitors would like to cycle, since she does already (but not as much as jogging) ...she is one of my sisters.

There are some items /colours/styles that simply aren't sold in the LBS's in Vancouver area.

I've been there 2 times in the past week and spent a pretty penny. I tell myself it's alright because they are all things for our tour next month.

We spent a lot last weekend- socks, Moving Comfort Bra ($12!), new Camelbak, shorts for DH and a running shirt for him.

I think REI is going to wonder about me if i continue to ship to different addresses in the US! Will I be on their odd list?

Hey no teasing those of us who have no REI.
Did I mention how miss I miss my trips to REI. LOL I don't think my wallet does though.

There is a bell in my future, alas, but not from REI!!!

The closest one to me is an hour away, but that's probably a good thing. I'm excited I got my light. Now I can start mtn biking at night when the days get shorter. Boy, I had to go there didn't I?
