    One of my riding buddies was having awful saddle problems all last year. He'd have to go two or three days between rides. He had a Brooks that felt great, but he refused to put it on his hi-tech road bikes.

    This year he's riding more. With the same model Brooks on every one of his bikes.

    I can't see a white saddle, though. But I use a lot of lube. I guess if you don't use lube AND you're the other side of menopause, maybe a white saddle would stay clean. And you never ride in the rain. Maybe.

    After seeing the gross thread with men in colored shorts on the board, it made me think about the womanly time of the month and white. That is a good point about your roadie pal converted back to the Brooks. It makes a person wonder how did saddles get away from the tried and true? Thx.
