I worry about him, too. I'm glad *he's* willing to get out there. It seems like such a constrained life for them.

Burley! That's what it's called! My mom always calls it "the bugger" when she lugs the grandkids around. Who knows why , but that's what we all call it. Can't you just see the Secret Service drawing straws for who will have to ride in the Burley today!

But nothing compared to when .... uhm, no politics now, I'm not saying what socks you should wear if he wins.

That's why I'm not running "there goes the unplanned bike ride, I'd have to bring the Secret Service along". Yeah right.

Bet some TE'ers could form a nice pelaton 'round him. No matter which way you plan to vote it'd be a historic chance to ride with him "here, let me adjust the fit"

Nice choice of bike!! Doesn't say exclusive like Kerry riding a Serrota in lycra and clipless , not dorky like Dubya riding with the tooth protector Nice bike, not too nice, and way to go for the womens vote with the Burley.

I had a Bugger for SKnot when he was a little kiddo. That was the actual model name of the trailer. Printed on it and everything. I figured that who-ever named it was NOT from the British Commonwealth nor a fan of Monty Python.

Considering the location of how they're mounted... the name is probably quite intentional. The way I understand it it's a pretty mild oath (not at all what cuss words describing the equivalent action would mean in American parlance) - but the kind of oath someone might use describe to describe the burden of pulling a heavy trailer - some of you Brits correct me if I'm wrong!

I mean, look at the logo for A-style clothing, after all. (And I can't find it on their website any more, but at one time they had a series of images making it very clear that yes, the logo DOES mean what it looks like.)

Do you suppose the Secret Service roll their eyes when the Pres, former Pres, or a candidate says: "I'm going to go _____ today" (mountain biking, riding through the city, running 10 miles, climbing a mountain, go white water rafting, etc).

Do you think they're like: "cool- we get to go ______", or

"crap- we have to protect so and so while they're out being foolish doing ____."

    .... like riding a Segway

Yes, that tricycle picture is priceless. As our current Commander in Chief loves to ride he probably had the same expression on his first bike. While I'm as blue as blue can be he has supported ICETEA (sp?) and expanded it. So he's made decisions that have benefited cyclists.
