Sorry Ladies,
I tend to be way to competitive with people. But I am actually happy with my now 200+ miles. And we are getting a warm up so I will be able to go outside if I don't have to work, and maybe hit that 300 for January.

I've fallen short of my goal this month, oh well. Got bogged down with papers for school and then I went out Wed. and flatted about 8 miles into my ride without a tube(AHH bad me!!), and had to be picked up, and then Thursday flatted towards the end of the first part of the ride(did a group ride and was going to put in an extra 1.5 hours after it) but after changing the flat, I realized there was a hole forming in the tire and the tube was popping throughso I rode home. So all in all I fell about 4 hours short this week, which is putting me about a 90 miles short for the month. Oh well, I still made it over 800 so far with a few more days to go. I should hit about 950-1000 for the month still.
Smilingcat- that was a great post you wrote! I loved reading it. You are dead on with what you said.
I hadn't thought about my goal in monthly terms until today.
Today, I exceeded 100 miles for January...pretty good given weather issues. So, Feb goal is 100.
March is 250. For April through August, 400/mo is reasonable. This will get me past my goal of 2,500 miles, so I guess my goal is too low.
So, at this point, if I don't exceed my annual goal by 1,000 miles, I guess I should be disappointed![]()

I hit my goal of 500 and still have a few days to go. Most of these miles are trainer miles given the winter temps and the fact that I'm a weather wimp. If the weather holds tomorrow I'll ride after school and maybe break 100 road miles for the month. I'm off to a good start!
