OK, my goal was originally 500 miles, but I have never ridden that much in one month especially in January. Right now it looks like I will end up a little over 200 miles all but 70 outside. Which is 86 miles better then I have ever done.
Ok, now I have a rant I get so sick of seeing all the miles you warm state people always get. I live in the snow belt of Ohio, which means either bitter cold or snow on the road, sometimes both. The last half of December, January, February, most of March and even into April. Just glad I don't live in Minnesota or Alaska. I guess it just angers me how unfair it is for northern states to be compared with warm states on places like bike journal. I would love to see you warm state girls come out and take a spin with me and my friends in January, you'd freeze to death in the first half hour
, and people claim the Belgians are hardy
. So when I get 8-12 miles outside almost every day I'm pretty happy. Long rides of 2 or more hours could be life threatening on some days, with ice, cold, and snow. Oh yeah go inside and after a hour your board to tears. We can't help to get the miles you do.
