Thanks all! And happy birthday to all other 1/10 b-days! And all the other early January girls.
My birthday kinda stunk. My son forgot. No cards from anyone.... All a mom asks for is a card BTW..The homeade ones are the best!
sigh..
And dealing with my stoopid landlord at the shop- as well as the fire inspector. All stuff that is TOTALLY out of my control- but that the landlord knew about for MONTHS! Apparently he was hoping that the fire dept. would just "forget" and issue me a clearance!! yeah- RIGHT!
I swear I thought my head might explode about 15 times today. I just want to be able to OPEN!! ugh!
Actually I did get a card, from my neighbor. Along with a bottle of malibu coconut rum. I'm not much of a drinker, but occasionally I need a rum and coke... Or as we refer to it "a chardonnay" (HUGE inside joke)..
sigh... Maybe I'll go have a drink... Uhhh scratch that. I'm Ironman training.

Happy belated Running mommy. And one drink won't kill you even if you are training. The stress will get you first! Hope everything gets sorted out soon! It's still all exciting even if it is frustrating!

My son and husband gave me a little notebook full of "Notes from Will & Charles". The first page had a little poetry. The second page was blank, and the third and the fourth....then a few pages in, I turn to find an IPod cut into the center of the notebook. They're so creative.
We left our son in the car (he's 14) while we went in to a doctor's appointment. When I returned my car was littered with Happy Birthday/I Love You notes in every nook and cranny.
My older sons called me up. My mom took me to lunch. I worked my body hard at boot camp--good thing since we went to PF Chang's for dinner and had the Great Wall of Chocolate. It was a great day. Your wishes are icing on the cake.

Would like to report that a niece was born on my birthday...just a few days ago.
She was born ata 10:00 pm, I was born at approx. 9:30 am.
So she has an older family chick 49 yrs. older.. to mark the years go by.
Have no idea how this birthday thread works...'cause I got an automatic email from teamestrogen that wished me happy birthday on Jan. 30.
