I did not know til now that cats had tonsils....

I have always loved kjay and Southern Belle's avatars. I guess I have a thing for critters with hooves. The ostrich is great. That new Flybye weimeraner is great! And I have always loved the rj...(I forget the #s) broccoli dog.

I always expect Snap to be shorter then she is when I get together with her for lunch or whatnot.

I was shocked by this as well...

Flybye - your doggy is so cute! It looks like her head and shoulders are sprouting out of the grass!

Imagine how shocked I was when my cat had a full blown case of acne on her chin!

That was years ago...went away with oral antibiotics, antibiotic cream, and yes, vet-prescribed-zit-popping-by-me! (Vet called it "expressing" them, of course!)

Quite an interesting deal, popping my cat's zits (to relieve the pressure which was obviously bothering her...then used the cream...the acne went away in about 10 days).

No, there is a corner missing in the vinyl where the kitties can get under the house. my sil took the pic when he was sitting at the edge looking out.

My avatar reminds me of the best ride I've had to date (won my category, was ahead of and injured DH in this shot and the most fun gully run you can imagine), and helps me remember that one day I will be out riding and having fabulous ride days like this again.

I love the dogs and cats and especially that crazy critters. And, yes, I do know you by your avatar more than by your name. Sometimes a changed avatar makes me think there's someone new onboard, which is still fabulous.

I am pretty much my avatar- square and a scare!

If you I ever changed it or you ever saw me in real life, I don't think you could handle it.

I hardly note avatars and never really considered adding one!
I guess that's weird. I'm glad to know that!

The funny thing is, I think of myself as a fairly visual person--- I "organize" my desk by leaving everything out where I can see it! But I'm WAY more of a verbal, word loving sort and so that must be where my eyes rest.

So can any picture in my iPhoto become an avatar? I could probably find one of our cat or my garden.

Yeah, but there are size limits: 100 by 100 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

...meanwhile I'm still trying to decide what to make my avatar...

I like to change my avatar occasionally, but I've been using the current one for quite a while now and will probably stick with it for a while--it's one of my fave photos of my choc. lab, Cocoa.

Cocoa and I love seeing all the other animal pix in avatars!

I seem to "recognize" everyone by their avatars as well! Lots of them make me smile when I see them (madscot's box, for instance). Funny to meet people in real life after you've formed sort of a mental picture of them from their avatar.
