Generally, I "fail" to hear the question.

But when forced by circumstance to answer I say "boots" or I just give them my best charming, s&*t-eating grin and walk off. Leave 'em guessing.

And I don't suppose that you don't like the fact that they're trying to picture what you may (or may not) have under it.
