I think if my wife ever saw a photo of Viggo Mortensen in a kilt, I would be gone in a second.

Now that you've mentioned it; yes, that shot of those cute biker boys was photoshopped. I've seen guys in red shorts (and yellow and green) and they just DON'T look like that, sorry.
When I was about twelve there was a guy in Central park wearing a black kilt. My mother and sister and I followed him around trying to see if he was wearing anything underneath it.
You get used to it.When I was about twelve there was a guy in Central park wearing a black kilt. My mother and sister and I followed him around trying to see if he was wearing anything underneath it.
Women's fascination with kilted mens undergarments (or lack thereof) is a bit of a mystery to us. I can't imagine walking up to a lady and saying "so what do you have under your dress?" Yet, I've had women I don't know walk up to me in all manner of places and ask that very question. And I've caught women trying to have a sneaky peek in bars, etc.
And that is a nice kilt. I like the sporran too.
I like the Utilikilt answer...tell them you're wearing "FREEDOM"![]()

Generally, I "fail" to hear the question.
But when forced by circumstance to answer I say "boots" or I just give them my best charming, s&*t-eating grin and walk off. Leave 'em guessing.
Believe me (and of course, I know you realize this), you might not be able to imagine saying that to a woman, but lots of guys imagine and say lots worse. *sigh*
PS: A lot of the things you listed about liking kilts are the same reasons I very often prefer to wear a skirt, rather than pants!

You guys are seriously torturing me with all of this kilt talk. Y'all are very much making me miss my utilikilt-wearin', bike-ridin' something-or-other. *sigh*

My thread has regenerated!
On a couple of other boards I find that when guys get all goofy over some chick pic or another the red shorts is an instant cold shower. I use it sparingly for maximum effectiveness.
Mmmmmm, guys in kilts. And yes, there is a curiosity for the wrapper underneath...or, even better, possible lack thereof....
c'mon wind!
I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.
I see Randall once a year at an event that I attend. I have a picture somewhere of a girl crawling up to him on her hands and knees trying to get a look under his kilt.![]()

Speaking of kilts and Utilikilts, has anyone heard from Hypgnosis06? (Mr. SGTigerKilt, she was the TE'er who worked in the design department of Utilikilt.)
And I also think men in kilts look very manly! I'd rather see 'em in kilts than in cargo shorts. (but I lived in Scotland when I was a kid, so I'm biased.)
And LisaSH, your excellent link not only gave lots of kilt resources, it also explained the droopy drawers that have been in fashion for the last 10-15 years!
