Hey too cool!!! My sitbone dents are now on a Bianchi mixte in Missouri!!!

I guess I forgot to whom I was posting! My grass needs to be cut, my flowers weeded, but it doesn't stop me from loading my bike on the back of my car and heading out on the weekends while I pass my neighbors mowing their yards. I feel guilty, for oh, about 1 minute. I do wish I had a little less than 2 acres to mow though!

Lisa, Indeed your sit bone dents ARE in Missouri. Thanks for your kind words. It really doesn't take much creativity, though, to see that the red bar tape just didn't work with the light silvery sparkly paint. I also think my bikes are getting closer and closer to that blue JC Higgins I had when I was 12. Thanks for the saddle and the extra proofhiding!Claudia

Gee that's NICE!! I think you're right: late 70's - early 80's. Are those SunTour XC/ XC II pedals???

The pedals are just cheapo BMX pedals I put on because they are wide and I'm still trying to get used to the fixed gear. I wanted something substantial to put my foot on. I may go with something different, but right now I just want to hop on and off. I think riding a fixed gear is harder than my first time with clipless. I keep forgetting that I can't coast, and then my leg gets jerked, and then stopping is a "whole 'nother thing!" I do like how much control fixed gear gives me over my speed, and I'm getting better at using my feet to slow down and not the brakes. Originally Posted by Popoki_Nui
Mimi - I didn't know Bianchi had a mixte either. I was watching out for a Nishiki when I saw this one. I'm having a lot of trouble finding info on it. Probably not one of their major sellers way back when.
