No worries Mr. Silver. I have changed my entire lifestyle and lost a tremendous amount of weight, gained lean muscle mass and enjoyed Tim Tams.

Go on, you know you want to thry them. There is nothing like a Tim Tam Slam.

Get your fave drink (I prefer a plain glass of milk, some people use coffee, tea or a hot chocolate drink)

These are oblong biscuits, so nibble a corner off, then go to its opposite on the diagonal and nibble that corner too.

Now, use the TimTam or ChitChat as if a straw. Dip one nibbled corner into the drink, suck the drink up through the other nibbled corner...

Now place entire biscuit in your mouth. It will melt in your mouth in the most succulantly sensual way...

    Ohh Mr. Silver...

You see *I* am on a diet too! So they are haunting me from the pantry.
Running son discovered them lastnight. That usually spells doom for whatever it is that he discovers.. You see he is a growing (up- not out- thankfully) 10 year old boy with what appears to be a hollow leg!

I figure one a day should be ok...

    Oh yum!

I had to run an errand at lunch which just happened to be across the street from Cost Plus. After reading this thread this morning, I stopped in and got some Arnott's original biscuits. There was a sign on the shelf for caramel ones, but no packages to match, which is a bummer because I loooove caramel. But I will say the chocolate ones are quite tasty. My coworker agrees.

    LOL mr. silver!!!

Do you have a cost plus out your way? Looks like that is the place to go.
Cheryl sent me both the carmel kind and the raspberry with dark chocolate. I think I like the latter the best. Something about the dark chocolate! man alive!!
I haven't tried the straw thing yet. I will with SPencer later on. Today is his last day of school, so it will be our special treat this afternoon. Tim Tams and milk!!!

LOL! I love it Mr. Silver.

We have a Cost Plus here, I may have to seek out this Tim Tams. I have heard them mentioned several times, I am curious.

I've never had Tim Tam's myself either, but I'd heard that was/is the preferred/best way to endulge oneself's pleasure in the Tim Tam. I have a guilty pleasure of eating sandwich cookies in a similar fashion except you can't use them as a straw. I'll dip the cookie/biccie in the milk/coffee as far as I can and soak it until it's just about to melt off into the liquid and quickly slurp the whole thing into my mouth. Of course, I've misjudged the timing MANY a time and lost the cookie into the bottom of my cup LOL... Then I just get to go fishin for it after I'm finished dipping the rest...

Ah Mary... that is the suprememly wicked advantage of a TimTam (or ChitChat)...

TimTams are coated in chocolate, therefore all the sensual creaminess is held together inside until you crush it with your tongue and you begin to think things that in a past life may have had you banished from your village!!!

    Mr Silver,
Kin over on Bikejournal knows an online source of Tim Tams, cherry ripes etc here in the states and right now my brain is too muddy from pain meds to find the link. I'll see if I can find it and post. I've heard of others getting their Aussie sweet "fix" supplies from this source as well and I'm just not coherent enough right now to remember the name.

    idea

    AHEM *rant coming*

Ok, some people are exempt from this messarge..

Instead of venturing to your local costco or whatever..why not seek out the Aussie or Kiwi pubs in your city/county?

I'm sure if you look hard enough you might even find an Aussie rules/rugby team to cheer on. I know there's one in Chicago.

You'd *gasp * meet new people! Aussies & Kiwis are your friends..We may make fun of you but we're just takin the mickey ok..

Oh yer-Arnotts is the company that makes tim tams & other goodies.

    The Tim Tam Suck

Hey Road Raven pleased you shared the only way to eat a Tim Tam!They are great with a hot cuppa tea. A team I was in, once won a quiz night because I was the only person in the room who knew there were 11 tim tams in a pack. That was in pre-baby days. The saddest (or not for my waist line ) is that since pregnancy, I really do not like chocolate much at all. Now half a choccy biscuit & I'm handing it over to one of the kids.
