I just went to the site yesterday to see where ours was, and we're not having one this year in our city. We had one last year, but I guess nobody organized it this year. It's too late to get the word out and organize it, so I'll just ride with DH at 7 on Wednesday and we'll have our own ride.

Strangely, there was a RoS planned for here in Victoria, but now it's been removed. I'm trying to organize one -short notice as it is- maybe it'll work.

    Thumbs up

    This is an important event.

I am very surprised to not see an organized ride anywhere within 200 miles of my community!

My hubby and I will ride together for this (road).
The "lack of press" in this area suggests to me that I should try to find the time to write an editorial. I will try to find the time to do so btw. now and before press time on Tues. p.m.

A few have suggested wearing the armbands all day, as it gives people the opportunity to ask about them. (Not too many people will ask a group while riding.) Some thought this would give them a chance to "educate" as to the reason for the "Ride of Silence." I think this is a personal choice, for sure.

Certainly will be trying to raise consciousness. During the ride, will be offering up prayers/meditations/positive thoughts of safety for all riders!

    Great ideas on the "armbands!"

I clicked on my state and the one I'm doing and one in Atlanta are the only ones listed in the whole state. I'm dissapointed in that. I hope others will have short notice-put together rides in the meantime.
